General Skilled Migration

On 1 July 2010 several legislative changes were introduced to the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program.  A new SOL was introduced and transitional arrangements were announced for holders of certain student visas and holders of graduate skilled visas. 

DIAC moved from ASCO to ANZSCO codes for occupations.

Note that no changes have been made to the points test but DIAC has advised that the points test is under review.
