What happens if I don’t meet the pass mark?

If you do not meet the pass mark, there may be other visa options available to you. We may be able to assist you with an application for sponsorship from a State Government or an employer. Please contact us to discuss alternative visa options or complete our FREE Migration & Visa Assessment. If you prefer, you can email your query to us and attach a brief CV containing your education and employment history.

If you meet the pool mark for a Skilled visa, you can still lodge an application that will be held 'in the pool' for up to two years after assessment.  If the pass mark is lowered at any time in that two year period, and your score is equal to or higher than the new pass mark, your application will be processed further. In addition, you can register for the Skill Matching Database. Australian employers and State / Territory governments are encouraged to search the Skill Matching Database for suitable candidates who could be sponsored to fill vacancies in the labour market.
